Pennies vs Stomach Acid

We all know our stomachs have strong acid in them, but strong enough to eat through pennies?  Not possible!  Or is it??

Elphie the Greyhound came to visit us “complaining” of stomach upset.  It was discovered that this lovely lady tried to add a little metal to her diet, in the form of pennies.  Using an endoscope to thread a cable down her esophagus, Dr Colin Combs caught the pennies with a little net and slowly pulled them out through her mouth.

By the time Dr combs was done, he had retrieved EIGHT (8) pennies!
