Parvovirus in puppies

ROXIE'S STORY

Roxie is a beautiful mastiff puppy that survived Parvovirus infection.
She was hospitalized for over four days while our veterinarians treated her with
IV fluids and multiple medications. Puppies who have parvovirus are usually
so sick that they must be syringe fed by our technicians.

She is one of the lucky survivors.

We see parvovirus almost every week at West Ridge Animal Hospital.
The only, but very simple, way to prevent it is with complete vaccinations
at 8, 12 and 16 weeks; and protecting your puppy from exposure until the
vaccines are complete. Parvovirus is such a nasty disease,
but so easily prevented.

PLEASE share this information with anyone you know who has a puppy,
or is contemplating getting one.
