BARK FOR LIFE! - Keeping a Leg Up on Fighting Cancer
As part of their annual Relay for Life campaign, Relay for Life of Weld County (RLWC) will be hosting a mini-"Relay For Life" canine event. Besides being a nice walk among fellow dog owners, what a great way for you and your canine companion to help find a cure for cancer!
Don't miss The First Annual Bark for Life:
DATE: Saturday, April 24, 2010
WHERE:Twin Rivers Park, 16th Street & 65th Avenue, Greeley CO (behind the Fun Plex)
TIME: Registration - 8:00am
Bark for Life - 9:00am
WHERE:Twin Rivers Park, 16th Street & 65th Avenue, Greeley CO (behind the Fun Plex)
TIME: Registration - 8:00am
Bark for Life - 9:00am
Dogs and owners walk together on either the short walk or the longer walk. The dogs can join a team and fundraise just like a human would, or they can come out the day of the event for $30.
Usually in a Relay for Life, humans are the team members and raise donations for their team. In the Bark for Life (BFL), the team participants are the canines. Each canine team member registers for a $25 donation to the American Cancer Society. Each canine team participant is also expected to raise/contribute a minimum of $100 to their team.
West Ridge And Sirius Fun are putting teams together and would welcome others to join us. You can contact Marta Wilkinson at 970-330-7283 or via email at mwilkinson@WRAH.net for more info and to join our team.
