ResQ Microchips

You’ve heard the stories; someone was walking their dog when a bunny was spotted, so the dog bolted for it and ended up getting lost in the process. Or perhaps their family cat slipped through the door which was slightly ajar and is now nowhere to be seen. Sadly, it is an all too common story. Perhaps it has even happened to you. The good news though, is that you now have an option to greatly increase the chances of finding Fido the dog or Spot the cat and getting them back in your arms. You can now safely and easily microchip your companion.

After researching all the microchip options, our veterinarians have chosen to use Bayer’s ResQ microchips. The most important factor being these chips are ISO-compliant which means that all microchip scanners will detect them, assuring that rescuers can know your companion's identity with a wave of the wand. Another reason for choosing ResQ chips is that they offer FREE online registration. That’s right- no registration fee or annual fee!

If you are wondering if the microchipping process is invasive or painful, microchips are about the size of a grain of rice and are injected just under the skin similar to a vaccine. Each chip contains a permanent code that distinguishes your pet from any other in the world and helps return your precious companion home if they stray away.
