Barkzone at West Ridge will now be owned and operated exclusively by Drs Combs, Hubert and the team members at West Ridge Animal Hospital. After running as a partnership with an out of state doggy daycare center since the opening in May of 2007 we are pleased to bring the daycare back under the hospital umbrella. What does this mean for you and your puppy pal? We will close for daycare and boarding on Thursday Oct 9th and re-open as Sirius Fun at West Ridge on Monday Oct 13th. Any of you that have boarding reservations during those days may board at West Ridge Animal Hospital for the same rate you were quoted at the BarkZone.

When we reopen on Monday we will offer the same fun doggy daycare services and boarding-only options that you have requested. We will have an experienced groomer and we will continue to offer puppy and adult training classes with Mandy - one of our skilled veterinary technicians. We will also be adding puppy socialization parties and the sale of training aids. By having the daycare/boarding more closely tied to the hospital we will be able to offer some new great services:

* Free, secure transportation from our Lodge at the main building to doggy daycare for those boarding at the hospital site. This allows your pooch to experience the fun and socialization of daycare as often during a boarding stay as you'd like. We will transport your companion in a secure compartment in our West Ridge Pet Ambulance. They can play during the day and return to the Lodge in the evening.
* Direct access to our veterinarians if your pet requires anything while at doggy daycare or boarding at the 28th Street facility. If you need vaccines, blood work or medications refilled we can arrange for that to happen while your pup plays the day away.
* Hospital staff monitoring of boarding dogs via webcam.
* Familiar faces from the hospital that know you and your pet.
* Further remodeling to make the center more fun and comfortable for your dog.

The whole West Ridge team is excited to be able to add this service as a direct
extension of the hospital. For those of you who use other veterinarians in town, but enjoy the daycare environment we offer, please be assured we will always respect your veterinary choices and relationship.

For those of you that haven't been to the doggy daycare in a while, please stop by in the next few months as we grow and improve for your pets. We are planning to return the annual Halloween Pet Costume party to the daycare site on October 26th. Keep an eye on the West Ridge Website for details at WRAH.net
