Dr.Combs has been specializing in companion bird care for over 15 years and caring for the birds of Greeley for the past 8 years. His love for birds started as a youth which naturally led him to volunteer at a raptor center where he got his first taste of administering care to injured birds. His interest continued to grow through his pre-vet training at a clinic that treated exotic animals and continues to grow today. In addition to providing primary veterinarian services to several local aviaries, including Avalon Aviary in Loveland, Dr. Combs belongs to the Association of Avian Veterinarians, attends annual continuing education classes to learn the latest in ornithology, and reads of the latest on bird care in trade publications. Dr. Combs puts forth this effort, to continually hone his skills as an avian specialist because of his commitment to your avian companions. Dr Combs combines his veterinary acumen with his genuine concern and love for our feathered friends- just ask Captain his Hahn's Macaw & Cleopatra his African Grey- to provide your companions the best compassionate care possible.
